Automotive ECU Development and Verification Solutions

A variety of ECU software solutions are available, including unit testing as well as GAIO's very own ECU virtual testing environment called 'SPILS,' which performs simulations without requiring ECU hardware.

Solutions

Unit Testing

Amongst GAIO's available services ECU software unit testing has become more and more important in recent automotive software development. This testing phase takes place at the bottom of the V-based development process with the following two options available.

CoverageMaster: Self-conducted automated embedded software unit testing tool
Unit Testing Service: Conducted by GAIO profession staff (only available for customers in Japan.)

ECU Software Simulator (using 'SPILS' Virtual Environment)

The 'SPILS' (Simulator-based Processor In the Loop Simulation) virtual environment requires only the target code to perform ECU system testing unlike the 'HILS' system which requires actual hardware. The following solutions are available.

VECU-G : Virtual ECU Verification Solution
VMPF-G : Virtual Multi-ECU System Verification Solution

MC-Checker : Model and Code Comparator
